A quack, in the old sense of the word, is the fellow selling confidence he does not have. The Quack Collection takes that word literally and fills a pond with ducks who all talk far more than they should. Every one of them has a mop of orange feathers on top, a red tie below, and a beak that has not closed in a very long time.
The noisemakers
The Annoying Blowhard is a lanky white duck caught mid squawk, wild orange plumage streaming behind him and a long red tie flapping in the breeze he is personally creating. Little sound lines burst from his beak, and his eyes are wide with the thrill of hearing himself. Tantrum Man is his furious younger cousin, a small yellow duckling with a spiky orange crest, glaring eyes and his beak thrown open in full meltdown, tiny feet planted in the dirt as if the pond has personally let him down. You can hear both designs from across the room, which is the point.
The portraits
Mop Headed Quack goes for a more dignified look, or tries to. He is a mallard rendered in sharp geometric shapes, emerald green head, jagged orange feathers sweeping across his brow, collar and tie cut in bold angles like a museum poster. It is the most elegant design in the collection, right up until you notice his beak is open too. Captain Chaos is the one who stands still long enough to be photographed: a stocky white duck with a glossy orange swoop, a red tie and a scowl so determined you half expect him to announce a press conference about it.
For the one who knows a quack when she hears one
This collection is for the woman who has sat through a lot of confident noise and kept her sense of humor intact. She has learned that the loudest voice in the meeting is rarely the one with the plan, and she has a gift for saying so with a smile instead of a speech. Put Captain Chaos on her and she will wear it with the calm of someone who has already seen how the story ends. She does not argue with ducks. She simply points at one, and everybody laughs. Out here the ponds are noisy, the feathers are orange, and the only thing that ever stays quiet is the tie.
