An off-white t-shirt featuring a cartoon graphic of a man in a suit surrounded by dice, with the text GO DIRECTLY TO OVERSIGHT, DO NOT PASS GO, DO NOT COLLECT UNLIMITED EXECUTIVE POWER.

You Can't Gerrymander the Ocean (and Other Things We Put on Shirts)

Somewhere right now, a man is yelling at a tide chart. The tide, famously, is not taking the meeting.

That standoff is the whole spirit of the wave of shirts that just rolled into the shop. Every one of them does the same job: it tells the truth with a straight face and waits for the room to catch up. Leadership lunacy in its natural habitat (the theatrics, the alternative facts, the podium weather reports)... we watched it, wrote it down, and printed it on something you can actually wear to brunch.

The forecast reads: wave

The headliners landed in The Blue Wave, where the water does the talking. Red Wave Could Not Be Delivered files the paperwork. Red Wave Red Flag and Red Wave Blue Cycle read the water temperature out loud. Can't Gerrymander the Ocean states the one map nobody gets to redraw, and Orange Objects May Be Swept Away is simply posted signage (we do not make the rules of the sea, we just print them). Orange You Glad We Voted rounds out the beach report with a grin.

The meltdown advisory

Then there is the weather happening indoors. Presidential Meltdown Forecast calls for scattered tantrums. Fragile Little Ego handles with care. Full-Blown Orange Evacuation clears the building, Left the Building confirms it, and Nobody Tell Him politely declines to break the news. The Audacity of That Orange Man says what the group chat was already saying, Dear Donald opens the correspondence, and Laugh at Him Again is less a shirt than an instruction manual.

The department of consequences

The rest of the drop works the quieter desk where the paperwork catches up with everybody. Consequences of Your Own Actions delivers the invoice. Congressional Approval Denied stamps it. Asked for a Mandate and Sorry About Your Majority file the condolence cards, while Under New Management changes the sign on the door. Karma Ground Game knocks on doors so you do not have to, Silent Majority Shut Up and Speak to the Majority sort out who actually has the floor, and Ruined an Orange Man's Day is just an honest account of a Tuesday well spent.

Why these shirts exist

Because satire works best when you can point at it. The sequence is simple >>> someone predicts a wave, the wave declines to appear, and we print the record before anyone can call it something else. These are not propaganda ~ no candidate gets a word in here; the joke is the theatrics, never the reader. If a shirt makes you laugh before you notice the point, it did its job. Make lying wrong again.

The soft part is not a lie

Every design in this drop rides the Everyday Supersoft T-Shirt, and for once the name on the label is the honest part. Wear it to the rally, the recount, or the couch... the shirt does not judge where the resistance happens.

Where to find them

The water-minded ones live in The Blue Wave. The whole arrival is sitting in New Tees Just In, filed alongside the rest of All Soft-Style T-Shirts and the full wardrobe in All Apparel.

Orange you glad this is satire?
