Rats are survivors. They find their way into every building, every basement and every back room, and they are gone before anyone thinks to check the pantry. The Rat Collection celebrates that particular talent with a whole pack of rodents in business attire, each one wearing the same orange swoop and the same red tie, and each one looking suspiciously comfortable wherever he has landed.
The rats in charge
The Swamp King stands tall in a rumpled brown suit, whiskers bristling, his tail curling up behind him in wisps of smoke like he has just walked out of a very warm meeting. Rat-in-Chief is the dapper one, a golden-furred fellow in a white shirt and striped trousers with a swirl of a tail so fluffy he might be claiming squirrel ancestry for the paperwork. Another sharp-snouted rat sprawls in a crouch with his tie askew and his orange hair blowing sideways, a rodent who has clearly just been caught somewhere he should not be.
The little schemers
The Grifter is a scrawny mouse with a blazing crown of orange and red hair, tiny paws together, eyes wide and innocent, the picture of a creature who would never take a crumb that was not his. Donnie Small Hands gets his own caption for a reason: a round orange rat with a spiky red mop, standing proudly with the smallest paws in the pack. Jailhouse Rat is drawn in bold black and white stripes, crouched low with a startled look and a wild tuft of orange on top. A chubby rat in puffed red trousers and a teal shirt shows off a towering golden pouf, and Dishonest Donald flashes a huge buck-toothed grin and a sly wink, the face of a rat who is absolutely telling you the truth.
For the friend who calls it like she sees it
This collection is for the woman who can spot a rat in any room and does not need to raise her voice to say so. She is a reader of receipts, a keeper of timelines, the one who remembers exactly who said what and when. Hand her the design that reads "Clearly We Took This Anyone Can Be President Thing Way Too Far," topped with a grinning rat in a tie, and watch her try very hard not to laugh in public. She will fail, and that is fine. The rats have their suits and their smoking tails. She has the receipts, and she brought copies.
